Julie Wilson
RIAS, RIBA, ARB, MSc Arch, B.Arch (Hons)
Julie is a chartered architect and senior partner at Brennan & Wilson Architects. Julie has particular expertise in sustainable design and has worked on a wide range of projects from housing, office, visitor centre and museum design. She qualified as a European Certified Passive House Designer and has completed a number of projects to Passive House standard. As an Associate at LDN Architects she was project architect for the extension and refurbishment of the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Julie combines architectural practice with teaching architectural design at ESALA and has also acted as a RIBA Part III examiner. From 2017-2019 she was President of the Edinburgh Architectural Association.
John Brennan
RIAS, ARB, FRSA, MA, Dip Arch.
John is a chartered architect, who established his own practice in 1996. John collaborated with American artist James Turrell in the design of his Skyspace Scotland. John has over 20 years experience of sustainable design and combines practice with research and education. He is Professor of Sustainable Architecture at the University of Edinburgh and is a Edinburgh Futures Institute Fellow. John is author of the book Scotland’s Rural Home. >find out more
