This apartment has been beautifully refurbished to create a holiday home close to North Berwick harbour.. Brennan & Wilson Architects were commissioned, to provide design ideas and take the project to  Planning and Building Warrant. From this stage, the client chose to undertake the refurbishment themselves. The original double upper maisonette was in a poor state of repair with sloping floors, damp penetration and outdated services. Small windows gave just a tantalising glimpse of potential views, of the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock.

The property was entirely refurbished to a high standard of comfort and thermal efficiency. Our design moved the kitchen and living room to the top floor where a light, spacious open plan room was created. A new window was formed at the top of the main stairwell, and French doors open to a balcony that captures  the stunning outlook to the sea.
